Athens to Rio-the Mega Quiz (Aug 26th)

As part of Rio Olympics, CCA Department and Quiz Club of Senior Secondary MES Central School Tirur conducted a series of selection rounds for the Mega Quiz - Athens to Rio .The finals of the Mega Quiz was conducted on 26th August 2016 at 2 PM in the school indoor court.Four teams with three members participated with full spirit. The Quiz Master was Mr.Jaimon Maleakudy Principal MES Central School Tirur.The winners were awarded with certificates and cash prize of Rs 3000 for the team who secured First position,Rs 2000 for the team who secured Second position and Rs 1000 for the team who secured Third position.A consolation prize of Rs 500 was also given. The prize distribution was done by Secretary of School Jb.Mohammed Shafi Haji.

Independence Day Celebration & VISION 2016 (Aug 15th)

On 15th August 2016, we the Senior Secondary MES Central School Tirur, celebrated the 70th Independence Day of our Nation in our school premises with great pomp and show. The National Flag was hoisted by Jb. C.Mammootty MLA Tirur.The function was blessed with the presence of our Chairman Jb. A Moideen Kutty, Secretary Jb. K Mohammed Shafi, Principal Mr.Jaimon Maleakudy,Vice Principal Mr.Madhusoodanan, Head Masters of all sections and the other dignitaries. Variety of programs like Musical Drama,Patriotic song, Cultural Dance,Tableau,Declamation ,Visualization of Historical Events and Mass Drill were put on the occasion.

The celebration was followed by the most prestigious function of our school “Vision 2016”. The programme began with a Prayer Song by the School Choir followed by a Curtain Raiser by our students. Mr.Jaimon Maleakudy Principal of our school welcomed the gathering. The report of the activities was read out by Mr.Karunakaran the CCA Chief Co-ordinator. The function was presided by School Chairman Jb. A Moideen Kutty. Vision 2016 was inaugurated by the Chief Guest of the dayProf. Viju Nayarangadi Renowned writer & Principal Thunjan Memorial Govt.College Tirur and he presented the Gold medal & the Manoj Memorial Cash Award to the topper of Grade XII Science Stream Rohith Menon and Fahmida Banu and the Annie Memorial Cash Award to topper of Commerce Stream Amina Reja. The Launching of Chrome Book to IGCSE was done by Jb.V .Moidutty Treasurer MES Kerala.The School Magazine Venture '16 was released by Jb.T Mohamed Haji President MES Tirur Taluk Committee. The honouring of Rashtrapathi Puraskar winners was done by Majeed Ideal Dist.Secretary CBSE Management Association. The launching of Parent Connect Mobile App was done by Adv.Nasarulla. .

Mohammed Sinan of XII A and Varsha Jayaprakash of XII C were installed as the Head Boy and Head Girl by the Secretary of our school Jb.K Mohammed Shafi .He also did the installation of the School Cabinet. Induction of House Captains, House Masters and Mistresses were done by Jb.K Abdul Jaleel Joint Secretary MES Tirur Taluk Committee and Mr.Anwar Sadath. Induction of Sports Captains was done by Jb.Abdul Khader Sherif.All the A1 holders of Grade X were honoured during the occasion. Other dignitaries who blessed the occasion were Mr. Babu Vadakkumpatt HM Senior Secondary ,Mr. Benny P.T HM Primary, Mrs.Sherly Vargheese HM Pre Primary and Office Supdt. Mr.Mujeeb.The function came to an end by the vote of thanks by the Vice Principal.
